Ahmareen Baten, MD, is a neurologist at MedStar Washington Hospital center who sees patients for all neurological disorders, with a special focus on epilepsy and seizure disorders. She is trained and experienced in reading electroencephalograms, the use of different medications to treat seizures and other neurological diseases, and in neuromodulatory treatments such as vagal nerve stimulation and responsive neurostimulation therapy for the treatment of seizures. Dr. Baten believes in treating her patients like she would treat a member of her family. She is there to listen, answer questions, educate, and to get to know each patient as a person to come with up a treatment plan that is right for them with their own set of circumstances.
